Do I need an account to play?
No. The whole core game works offline without an account. An account is created silently only when you use the daily ranked challenge, the leaderboard or buy GuessPal+. Sign in with Apple is optional and only for your leaderboard profile.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open the You tab, tap the gear (Settings), choose GuessPal+ and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. If nothing is found, check that you are signed in to that Apple Account in iOS Settings and write to us.
How do I cancel or change my GuessPal+ subscription?
Apple manages it: on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose GuessPal+ and cancel or change the plan. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open the You tab, tap the gear (Settings), choose Account and tap Delete account. Your account, nickname, ranked history and leaderboard rows are deleted. Progress on the device is removed with Settings > Privacy and data > Delete my data. If you cannot open the app, email us with your nickname.
How do I change my nickname or hide from the leaderboard?
In You > Settings > Account you can change your nickname and avatar, and turn off Show me on the leaderboard to remove your row from the lists. To report an inappropriate nickname, use the report option on the leaderboard.
Which notifications does GuessPal send, and how do I turn them off?
Reminders are scheduled on your device and can be adjusted in You > Settings > Notifications. If you allow push notifications you also get your weekly leaderboard result. You can switch everything off in iOS Settings > Notifications > GuessPal.
How do I pick a question?
Tap one of the three options. The most useful questions come first. "Other questions" costs nothing.
Can answers change?
No. Emma, Max and Lily are game characters who know the card, and their answers are always true.
When is a guess used?
Only when you confirm a wrong name. Tapping or reselecting a name is free. You can still guess after your questions run out.
How is the score calculated?
You start at 1000: each question −40, each wrong guess −100, the hint −150. A lost round scores 0.
Can I play offline?
Yes. 280 cards, 20 scenes and the daily card come with the app, and the whole game works offline.
